This policy sets out what you may not do when you use pragmon.ai or the Pragmon AI platform, including Ask Pragmon AI. It is run by Pragmon AI Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 17549923, at 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ. It forms part of our Website Terms of Use and of the Pragmon AI Customer Terms at pragmon.ai/legal/customer-terms. Where the Customer Terms say something different, they win.
1. Everyone
You must not:
- use the site or platform for anything unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive;
- pretend to be someone else, misstate who you work for, or send false information on a form;
- harass, threaten, defame or harm our staff or anyone else;
- send content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes someone else's rights;
- overload, disrupt or interfere with the site or platform, including denial-of-service attacks;
- try to get into areas you are not authorised to use, or get round sign-in, rate limits or other controls;
- send viruses, malware or other harmful code;
- collect email addresses or contact details from us to send unsolicited messages;
- remove copyright or trade mark notices, or use our name or compass mark in a way that suggests we endorse you.
2. Automated access and AI training
- Follow our robots.txt, which says which crawlers may visit and where. Our llms.txt says what AI tools may retrieve and cite.
- Do not run scrapers that ignore those files, dodge rate limits, or pretend to be an allowed crawler.
- Do not use our content to train, fine-tune or test AI models without our written permission, except as robots.txt and llms.txt allow.
- Do not copy our content in bulk to republish it elsewhere.
Quoting a passage with credit and a link is welcome and needs no permission.
3. Platform users
If you use the platform, you must also not:
- share your sign-in, or give access to anyone your organisation has not authorised;
- copy, resell or make the platform or its outputs available to third parties except as the Customer Terms allow;
- reverse engineer the platform, or try to extract its source code, prompts or models, except where the law allows it;
- use the platform to build a competing product;
- upload data you have no right to share, or special-category personal data (such as health data) unless we have agreed it in writing;
- access or alter data that is not yours, or intercept data not meant for you;
- use Ask Pragmon AI or any platform output for a practice banned under Article 5 of the EU AI Act, including:
- manipulating people by subliminal or deceptive techniques, or exploiting their age, disability or circumstances, in ways that cause significant harm;
- scoring people on their social behaviour or personal traits in a way that leads to unfair treatment;
- predicting whether a person will commit a crime from profiling or personality traits alone;
- building facial recognition databases by untargeted scraping;
- inferring emotions in the workplace or in education;
- categorising people by biometric data to infer sensitive traits such as race, political opinions or sexual orientation;
- rely on platform outputs for legal, financial, medical or safety decisions without review by a qualified person.
4. Security research
We welcome good-faith security research on public parts of pragmon.ai. Do not take, change or destroy data that is not yours, and do not slow the service for others. Testing of the platform needs our written agreement first. Report findings privately to contact@pragmon.ai with "Security" in the subject line, and give us reasonable time to fix them before you publish. We will acknowledge valid reports within 2 business days and will not take legal action against researchers who follow this section.
5. What we may do
We investigate suspected breaches and act in proportion. We may warn you, block addresses or crawlers, suspend or end access to the site or platform, report the matter to the police, regulators or providers, or go to court. We may act without warning where a breach is serious, ongoing, or puts the service or other people at risk. For platform users, the Customer Terms set out how suspension works.
6. Reporting abuse
Email contact@pragmon.ai to report a breach of this policy or content that infringes your rights.
7. Law
This policy is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
